CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET CLOS
PITOIS 1° CRU

CLOS PITOIS is an age
old famous Clos wine from the time it was created by Monks
in 1421.
It is served at the most prestigious gastronomic meals such
as Embassy meals. The overall global area of the CLOS PITOIS
is about 3 Hectares, half of which is planted with
Chardonnay grapes and half with Pinot Noir grapes.
Grass is sown between the vines
and as from the month of July the leaves overlapping the
grapes are removed to let the sun get at them. The grapes
are harvested
MANUALLY and the sorting of the grapes is done in the vines in a
very strict way.
After a cold decanting process,
the fermentation is traditionally done using controlled
temperatures, half in new oak barrels and half in one year
old barrels.
The
bottling is exclusively done at the DOMAINE

its fat, typical of the Morgeot wine, with a slight acidity
that gives a good balance to the wine
