The CLOS PITOIS is an age old famous Clos since it was created by Monks in the year 1421.

It is served at the most prestigious gastronomic meals such as Embassy meals. The overall global area of the CLOS PITOIS is about 3 Hectares, half of which is planted with Chardonnay grapes and half with Pinot Noir grapes.

Grass is sown between the vines and as from the month of July the leaves overlapping the grapes are removed to let the sun get at them. The grapes are harvested MANUALLY and the sorting of the grapes is done in the vines in a very strict way.

This wine is of a deep bright red ruby colour. It has a red fruit, autumn leaf and spice nose. And on the palate it has an extremely delicate rich winy flavour. Elegance and finesse are the dominating characters.

This CHASSAGNE-MONTRACHET CLOS PITOIS is ideal served with roast capon, duck with turnips, chicken with morel mushrooms or fillet of lamb in pastry.
